Erin Henke is an association and non-profit executive and management consultant with over 25 years of professional experience. She was most recently the Interim CEO with the Santa Clara County Medical Association, serving more than 4,000 physician members. Prior to that, she held positions as Senior Director of Wellness Services with the California Medical Association’s physician wellness program, and Associate Executive Director of the San Francisco Marin Medical Society. She has also worked for the American Medical Association, rounding out her county, state and national medical society experience. Erin worked in hospice and palliative care for over a decade, and launched POLST (Physicians Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) in California.

Erin was born and raised in Chicago, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration on a full scholarship from Roosevelt University. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2000, and returned to the Bay Area in 2016 after a move to Sacramento in 2009. She obtained her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2022 and remains a committed life-long learner.

With a breadth of experience in marketing and communications, operations, board relations, strategic planning, fundraising, outreach, and advocacy, Erin brings a well-rounded skill set and holistic leadership approach. She is a collaborative leader skilled at bringing communities and stakeholders together to achieve a common purpose and empowering those around her into action. She is extremely organized and process-oriented, seeking to achieve efficiencies on tight budgets. Her true passion lies in driving impactful change in mission-driven organizations, and guiding others in exploring and achieving their potential.
